Rhetoric and Civic Life: This Is Our Sputnik Moment

Blog Post Sample 3
Rhetoric and Civic Life: No Longer Just a Tutorial Video

The above three blog posts reflect my observances of rhetoric in our society. The first two blog posts are about the rhetorical tendencies that occur in political speeches. The first blog post comes from a rhetorical analysis of former President George W. Bush's 2008 State of the Union Address, while the second post comes from an analysis of President Obama's 2011 State of the Union Address. As I read and listened to each address, I noted that each President's rhetorical tendencies reflected his administrative styles. I chose these two blog posts to represent my understanding of rhetorical tendencies throughout our nation's political history.
The third post was chosen due to my love for YouTube videos. Over the past years, I've accumulated a valuable list of subscriptions that provide a variety of information, entertaining, and enjoyable videos. This particular blog post describes a rhetorical transition in the way that many vloggers have approached their videos.
